Strat wiring with 2 master tone pots

Hello all. Had an idea to wire my strat with 2 master tone pots working on all the pickups (obviously). The first would be normal with a .047 the second would be a .01 - the cap used by some Esquire modders to get a 'cocked-wah' sound, so when fully rotated it would give you that tone. My strat (not an orginal Fender) strangely has 500k pots - i was thinking about changing them to 250k but wondered if it might be worth keeping the 500s because the signal would be going through through 3 pots rather than 2 and should(?) lose less highs with these. Any comments? Am I being a complete numbskull?

Thanks, Simon.

Easier to just go with a master volume, master tone w/pp switch, no-load neck pup blender. The master tone uses a pp switch with one switch side using .022uf cap (not .047uf - too muddy) and the other switch side using whatever cap value gives ya that "cocked wah" tone. Down switch position is the .022uf and the pulled up position is that other tone cap. Additionally, you can mod the carbon strip on the tone pot to make it a no-load so that now you'll have 3 tone options - no tone pot at all (for that raw rock tone), normal tone pot, "cocked wah" tone pot.
