Been wanting a little practice amp as the SFSR is loud as hell and twice as heavy. Picked up a little battery powered 7-100 today and man does it sound cool. Quite the opposite of the Super, almost no headroom, but surprisingly satisfying and gritty little box. Price is unbeatable and you can take it anywhere!
Also for fans of Ralph Macchio in Crossroads!

Oink Oink!
Big fan here myself. I play my tele thru one with a RC booster in between. If you have a RC booster or any other clean boost try this combination.
Tele---RC booster (gain at 9 o clock, volume max, treble and bass at 3 o clock)----Pignose with vol knob around 2 o clock...
Sounds WICKED!
Best small portable amp EVAH! PERIOD!

I heard Eddie Van Halen recorded 'Beautiful Girls' with a Pignose miked across the room. That's why I bought mine. Any distortion pedal will give you a ton more volume. Has anyone ever tried the larger pignose amps?

$25.00 Craigslist find (with the AC adapter). It's fun to fool with.

I recently picked up a Pignose G40V. It's 40 watts, volume, master, treble, mid, bass, and presence. It comes with 2 6L6's, and 3 12AX7's. 10" speaker that has a lot to be desired from. The amp is Chinese made, but designed by Dennis Krager based on a Bassman circuit. Right now it's kinda harsh sounding. I've had it for a week and retubed the 12AX7s' and am waiting for some NOS 6L6 to get here. The amp does have a 8 ohm and 4 ohm extension out so I'll run it through a 2x12 cab I have with a Jensen alnico and Greenback in it.
