tuning machines

I am about to put on a set of vintage style tuning machines on my new warmoth neck (already has the holes drilled for them). i was wondering the best way to put in the rings (dont know the correct term for them) that go in from the top of the headstock while the machine goes in the back. do i just push them in? or do i put glue on them? thanks for your advice,

Just push them in,no need to glue them 8)

Yea, just push em in, they should be a press fit. May need light plastic hammer helper! Good thing yours is drilled already. I just drilled one this weekend for the same tuners and it's a bit tricky to keep em all straight and get em marked in just the right spot for drilling.
