16 ohm speaker in a 5E3?

I have an 8 ohm speaker but if I put in a 16 ohm speaker, will it damage the amp? Another question if I wire up the speaker to both the speaker and ext speaker jack would that be OK?

It sure didnt damage my 25 watt 5E3, in fact it sounded great. I ran a 16ohm Eminence Lady Luck for the first 4 months I had it. Just now switched to a 8ohm Jensen that sounds even better.

It'll sound best with the proper impedance.

A difference up or down isn't supposed to be too harmful... though we all live in careful times :)
