Saw this in a local magazine and scanned it; I've never seen it before and was just curious what it was.

I saw his "kid" (he is a grown man) play in Vegas about 9 years ago.

Jazz and Vegas have not been the same for a long time. Whatever happened to the old days?

John is pretty damn good, he's just different than his father. More in a Nat King Cole Trio vein, which was good enough for Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson.

Yeah. He's done a lot of really pleasant records, with deceptively good guitar playing on them. Sometimes I think he doesn't get the respect he may deserve because his music is so easy to listen to.
