Wah Pedal ProblemsMiles77 July 3rd, 2008, 06:00 AM I have a PSK wah pedal and lately its been making a crackling noise throgh the amp when imove it up and down do u have any idea wat it is and how 2 fix it? SixStringSlinger July 3rd, 2008, 07:19 AM It's probably the pot (the little thingy inside that turns as you rock the pedal back and forth). It could just be dirty, so buy a can of compressed air (from Radio Shack or wherever) and spray it good while moving it back and forth. After that it's a good idea to do it every once in a while, to prevent more problems. It could also be that the pot is just worn out, in which case you'll either need to replace it or replace the wah. joinpobob July 3rd, 2008, 10:08 AM I have the same problem. I keep meaning to try the compressed air (and have heard it often solves the problem) but havent yet. aberrant July 3rd, 2008, 10:09 AM You may want to try a contact cleaner as well after compressed air. It'll lubricate the pot helping to remove any particles that are inside creating the scratch/static. |
