owner Alan, Chef at TB & Babp. Builder was Rodent I believe. Hipshot bridge, Nordstrand Big Single and I believe Nordstrand SCPB at the neck position.

Ain't that a beauty ?

I'm really not that high on the 51 thing - but that one does inspire fit's of gas...

Those basses were made for raucous thump, not widdly jazz lines, that bridge pickup ruins it for me.

I wonder what the neck is like on this beaut?

Looks like a dream 5 stringer for myself. I love the tone and simplicity of a P with an added B, sweet.

Need a URL for the maker...

If you search on Rodent over at babp you'll find him. That's his user handle - I forget what his luthery project is call. Skuttlefunk Basses or RS Guitarworks maybe ?

Headstock. Rod was in Seattle for a long time. Seems like the guys up there seem to use a mix of home brew bodies and USACG necks. Other than Mike Lull of course. I gather he does the whole enchilada - rumor has it that Lull now has a Plek in house.

I played a couple of Mike Lull basses last week while I was visiting Seattle for work. I had made arrangements to demo a private party Pedulla that is up for sale. The owner has quite the collection including the Lull's - they are extremely nice. Certainly in the same arena as the few Sadowsky's I've played and in the mid-teens - too rich for my blood but a relative bargain ...
