I have decided to pick up a metal resonator and I have seen a lot of modes. I am looking for one that won't cause me to sell my first born son, and is adaptable to a pickup?
Anybody have any suggestions?

Check this out. They're not bad: http://elderly.com/new_instruments/items/RRC1-GREEN.htm

Putting a pickup in a resonator can be easy or hard, depending. I've used McIntryes in my National and Dobro without any problem. They're very easy to install; just stick them on the cone. Get a good pre-amp, like a Baggs para-D.I., and you'll be OK. Of course, if you want to spend more, you can opt for the Highlander resonator pickup. Very nice sounding.

I've been looking at the Gold Tone/Paul BEard models. Just did a post last week if you do a search.

Dean has some with pickups, at a reasonable price.

Go get yourself a National if you're really into it.
