Hiya mateys,
As the title says i thought i'd ask what you fellas' thought about it. I was thinking of getting a bandit but that went pear shaped as i explained on another thread. Anyway, i'd appreciate any advice on it i can get.

Cheers mateys.

Pal of mine used one of these for a long time and thought highly of it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Extremely loud when required and endless clean headroom, but I found it had a somewhat hard, middly sound that I didn't get on with personally. I owned the later Special 150 for quite a while, which was a little better but I was never entirely happy with that either. The culprit in terms of tonality may have been the Scorpion speaker; I've heard that swapping it for something else can yield a considerable improvement.

The overdriven sounds were what you'd expect; OK-ish for high-gain stuff but it didn't really do subtle.

I've been using one for years as my workhorse. The Special 130 is the one to get--it's the only one with the midrange frequency control. Reliable, lightweight, and cheap.(and sound pretty good too)
