Highway 1 Replacement tuners

Just bought a Highway 1, sounds and plays great but the tuners are cheap. I tried several ALLPARTs tuners and nothing was a fit. The hole was too big for the vintage and too small for other other set I tried. I am not looking to re-route or drill anything. Which tuners can I buy that will be an upgrade and a snug fit out the package? Thanks in advance!

get conversion bushings from stew-mac and use the vintage tunas of your choice?

I replaced mine with some of the staggered tuners that come stock on American Standard/Series guitars. I got them off of eBay for around $30.

Thanks for the input fellas, I will have to look into those. Any other suggestions?
