Hey guys

I am able to buy a second hand Memory Man deluxe at a really good price, it's the older "silver/metallic" looking version...

questions...
would you get the memory man as a good all round delay pedal?
does the memory man colour tone badly due to it not being true bypass?

And any suggestions, thanks.

the MM is a great sounding delay pedal, it will color your sound a bit depending on how much gain you use (or level or whatever they call it) but I always found that I liked the sound coloration that it added.

I had a vintage one but it ended up malfunctioning, it would do some wierd pitch change and the guitar sounded all out of tune.

It's a great delay pedal. Modding it for true bypass can be easily done. They're only going up in price so you may as well grab it now.

I don't think you could go wrong with one. If you don't like it you could just sell it....

And, it's really established itself as a standard...(i.e. the edge, eric johnson, etc..)
