BJr Upgrade: Weber 12F150, Swamp Thang, Texas Heat or C Rex?

First, my goal is to retain a Fender sound (Tweed or Blackface).

For upgrading a stock Blues Junior speaker, how would you rank the following speakers:

Weber 12F150
Eminence Swamp Thang
Eminence Texas Heat
Eminence Cannabis Rex

Are there any other speakers that you could recommend?

Thanks for any help.

Weber 12F150: Bright, lively. Typical alnico compression on dynamics and bottom end. Least bassy of the four unless you pump more power into it than the BJr is capable of.

Eminence Swamp Thang: Cleanest of the group, rivals the Weber California. Accurate, does what the amp tells it to do, but a bit dark on the top end.

Eminence Texas Heat: Like a premium version of the stock speaker. More bass, smoother trebles, great all-around speaker.

Eminence Cannabis Rex: My personal favorite. Hemp cone is not doped, breaks in to be very smoooooth. Good, warm bass, plenty of highs, but never harsh. If you mistake shrillness for good highs, you won't like this speaker. If you like smooth, controlled overdrive and warm cleans, you will.

I was going to swap an 8 Ohm Swamp Thang into my BJ for more clean headroom (ST is rated 102 efficiency), but then came across a 2 for 1 deal on a pair of 16 Ohm, so I'm going to build a 212 cab for the BJ and put the pair of Swamp Thangs in that.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I was also thinking of building a slightly larger 112 cab for the BJ, to keep it portable, but just get a better sound. I have a feeling the 212 will get old quick, since I originally bought the BJ for portability.

Billm:

I also want more bass and darker highs. Whaddayathink? Swamp Thang?

I actually like the sound of the Swamp Thang, when compared to the other Emmy choices, but how accurate are those sound samples on Emmy's web-site?

The TH is now my favorite Emi 12. Not only is it wonderfully balanced, but it gives you a great BF tone or a bit of Greenback tone, as well. A real chameleon. It also handles a ton of power without breaking a sweat. I don't know what the other 12" Pats are going for these days, but I got the TH for $70 shipped to my door.

Not very accurate. They sound like a modeling amp was used for some of them, and also like some funky post production stuff was done to optimize them for the internet.

I've tried a bunch of Emi's, and the samples don't do any of them justice. Besides, they don't have samples of any of the RedCoat line.

Fenderguy, you're in NJ, aren't you? Come by and listen to the TH, ST, and CR.

Good point, Billm. I just may take you up on that one! Besides, being the resident BJr expert, I'm sure we'd have other stuff to talk about, too. ;-)

Thanks for the offer.
