I have been thinking about picking up one of the new Tech 21 Liverpool pedals.
Has anybody had any experience with this new series?
I guess I would like to get some info b4 I buy.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying them out. I've been a bit busy with an excess of guests in town, but I really like the look of the new pedals from Tech 21.
Does anyone know if they are using cloth to cover them or is it just a graphic?

I haven't had a chance to try any of their newer stuff, but I still have a GT-2 and will never let it go. It doesn't have the flexibility of the Classic, but it's pretty easy to get some good tones quickly, and has also been a lifesaver when I had to lay down a track or two and mic'ed cabs just weren't working...
Most if not all of the SansAmp stuff has active tone controls - very powerful, but very sensitive and twitchy to dial in, IME. I've considered using heat glue on my GT-2's tone controls!
I also had a blast with the XXL, which they either don't make any more, or renamed the CompTortion or now something else. The XXL is proof that too many even harmonics is a bad thing - the notes would completely lose all definition with the "warp" knob maxxed. But there were some cool sweet spots in between.
I'm sure that the new pedals' graphics are computer generated ink designs.
I would suggest trying before buying, if possible. Some folks take to the Tech 21 stuff pretty easily - others just never seem to bond with it.
I wish I could find an old PSA-1 preamp for cheap. You can dial in different amounts of distortion at specific points in the EQ range. You then get to save all of those settings to internal memory. It's not a pedal, but probably the best thing that Tech 21 ever made, IMO.

I heard the Liverpool pedal on their website and it sounded great, but I would really like to know if anyone has one and whether they are up to the hype from Tech 21.
