Shoved BassVIII June 4th, 2008, 07:06 PM Wasn't Tim Armstrong doing that exact thing not too long ago? rahbee June 4th, 2008, 09:58 PM I was just thinking of doing something similar to my bronco. guitarpartsresource has the mustang pickups. http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/bass_pickupsfendemustang.htm Tim Armstrong June 5th, 2008, 12:13 AM Wasn't Tim Armstrong doing that exact thing not too long ago? Yep. The bodies are identical, except for the pickup rout, and the pickguard does a nice job of hiding excessive routing! Here's a Musicmaster body that's about to become a Mustang body: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/tarmadilo/bass001.jpg Cheers, Tim nicktele5150 June 5th, 2008, 12:39 PM thanks tim. rahbee June 5th, 2008, 12:51 PM Yep. Tim Armstrong June 5th, 2008, 04:03 PM I've posted that picture recently, probably in another thread. I don't recall if I had a thread on it, though. It's a 1973 Musicmaster Bass body, and I have a 1973 Musicmaster Bass neck for it (I actually have two of them, one is on Pinky, the bass I usually gig). It's going to be black (always did like black with MOTS pickguards!). Cheers, Tim |
