I have 62 RI from 1987 and with the Lollar pups it is close to being my ideal strat. I do have some neck issues however. The thin neck is perfect in dimensions but tends to shift over seasons. I'd like to order a similar neck with 6105 frets that isn't affected by seasonal changes as much.

But what are the neck and nut dimensions? I believe the radius is 7,25 and the profile is a C, but the measures for thickness at the first and 12th frets seem hard to find online as well as nut width. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

Hmmmm. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that, as long as it's made of wood, it's going to change over time. Putting your location in your profile can help us see what sort of weather you deal with.

Here's a Goofy thought...take your strings off and measure it !....Why would you want online measurements that may be incorrect...when the neck is right there in your hands ?

Now why didn't I think of that  Having a caliper would probably help. Also, over here, we use the metric system mostly.

This is what I've found online so far.

Also, a friend over here measured his original 62 neck and came up with 0,80" and 0,96". This should probably be close enough. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply.

About the weather here in Stockholm, Sweden. In winter, we have snow for about a month of the year. Living close to the sea, humidity changes quite a lot and necks tend to move around a bit. But there are remedies for that.

Thanks

reissueplayer, I measured my 1987 62RI for you. Using Brown&Sharpe micrometers calibrated to certified gage blocks.
Thickness at first fret .832"
Nut width............... 1.629"

The neck on this guitar has always seemed a little chunkier than other 62RI Strats I have tried, then again, I generally dont pack measuring tools around.
My 62 RI.
