mikespe May 15th, 2008, 08:48 PM Has anyone tried the Behringer RV600 Reverb Machine (http://www.behringer.com/RV600/?lang=ENG)? I believe it's only available in Europe however a couple eBay sellers have it. It looks promising and from what I read it might actually be true bypass. I have a Behringer Virtualizer Pro rack mount that has a few usable reverb effects. But I would like a pedal instead. I have heard too many horror stories on the Holy Grail and I don't want or need expensive gear. I am considering the Digitech Digiverb as well...but this Behringer has many more settings to play with!
guit30 May 17th, 2008, 10:09 PM You would probably do better with the Digitech
studio1087 May 17th, 2008, 11:30 PM I had the Behringer Reverb pedal that is available in the States. The casing is a very lightweight plastic and the selector knob for the various reverb styles has no detents; you just spin it and listen for the tone to change.
The physical quality was poor.
The reverb quality was ok. It did an ok job.
I paid $25 USD on ebay and $7 USD shipping. It was worth more than what I paid.
I use a Marshall Reflector now and I love it. If you are going to use the Behringer at home and pamper it, you should enjoy it without worries.

ramseybella May 21st, 2008, 03:55 AM I guess We all want as myself included Behringer pedals to sound great for the price, they come close but lack one small bit of Voodoo and Mojo to keep them on the pedal board.
I have a TO800 Vintage distortion it works better than I exspected but lacks something, single coils and Mini Buckers sound good but Full blown Humbuckers sound dull and flat.

I understand what you mean. But it seems Behringer has been improving over the past year or so as technology improves. I like many of their rack units and even the V-Amp is very usable if time is spent tweaking it. I know that you usually get what you pay for but I have been wrong many times in this regard. Rondo Guitars are the first to come to mind. I don't need a professional level reverb...and quite honestly, wouldn't pay that much unless I was making money with my music. Then it's an investment...right now for me it's a hobby and my four walls are my audience. Plus like you said it depends on your rig too...even expensive pedals like the Holy Grail have had many bad reviews and yet other's swear by them...
I plan on getting a Blues Jr. in the future and I know it's built in "real" reverb will sound much better.
Thanks

DWBH May 22nd, 2008, 05:58 AM I'm really GASing for that reverb (the Behringer one :P). It should sell about 45 euros, as well as the new delay (Echo Park clone)
echidna May 30th, 2008, 09:40 AM I haven't heard the Reverb Machine pedal, but I did buy their Echo Machine one and as someone noted, the lack of detents is a bit of a pain. However, since I just play at home, it's not really a problem and was 1/4 the price of the Line 6 pedal it's copying...
psychetelec May 30th, 2008, 03:58 PM I use this http://www.behringer.com/DR400/index.cfm?lang=ENG and I like it, changing the battery's a ***** so I use an adapter.
guit30 May 30th, 2008, 05:52 PM The ones with higher numbers 200,400,600 work better

I saw that one but I wasn't sure about having my delay AND reverb on one peal. Are you able to get some good sounds out of this pedal?
Thanks
mikespe June 1st, 2008, 12:44 PM Well I finally found a thorough review of this pedal and it looks like Behringer has improved. From what I read here (http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=1974538) this pedal sounds great and is sturdier than past Behringer pedals. I think I will get this pedal and I'll post a review when I get to play with it.
DWBH July 25th, 2008, 09:18 AM mikespe have you had the opportunity to buy, or at least try it out?

Cant figure out whether this is serious or not! Hilarious either way! hahah

No I haven't. Ever since I got my Blues Jr. I have used the reverb on that. However, I would like to try this pedal out BUT I saw and heard the new Digitech Hardwire Reverb pedal and it sounds SWEET! But it is $150!
guit30 July 26th, 2008, 10:42 PM I thought the Behr rv100 was lousy, but I find that the higher numbers are better.
The best behringer pedal that I have tried is the CL9 compressor, red with a blue led(copy of Ibanez d/ced comp- sounds great

krauser2 February 6th, 2009, 12:27 PM just bought the rv600
i have high hopes for it, if it copies the line 6 half as good.....deal it was
I heard a vid of it and so far it was great.....now for the one on one test
badmelonfarmer February 6th, 2009, 02:45 PM hmmm, not a fan of Berhinger on a business model level front or their products. This is just IMHO though.
the Line 6 Verbzilla is my fav, a great pedal for the price.
on the real budget end... Dano Corned Beef?
Cheers
BMF
ruger9 February 6th, 2009, 04:47 PM oh God... the Corned Beef is AWFUL. It's not a reverb; it's a really really fast delay fronting as a reverb. Quite possibly the worst pedal I've ever plugged into.
The BLT (slap echo) and Tuna Melt (tremolo) are both surprisingly good however!

Agreed 100% I have all three of those pedals and get very nice sounds from the BLT and TMT, but the Corned Beef is only tolerable if the BLT is on, and even then its not pretty. Interestingly, the BLT can be set to sound almost identical to the reverb in the Corned Beef, plus it does the slap back and tone fattening that the Coned Beef can't do.
badmelonfarmer February 6th, 2009, 05:20 PM hmm, worse than a berhinger?
ruger9 February 6th, 2009, 07:36 PM In SPADES.
I have the cheaper Behringer, not the RV600... I forget, it's silver. It's actually a good-sounding reverb... as good as digiverb, boss, marshall, etc. I can only imagine the RV600 is even better. (I have a Verbzilla, and have owned... digiverb, boss, marshall, holy grail plus. IMHO HG+ is the best, altho it doesn't have the options of the others.)
cyclopean September 18th, 2009, 05:47 PM i've got this.
my gigging amp has spring reverb, but my bedroom amp* does not. i really don't like playing totally dry, and i wanted a cheap but acceptable reverb stompbox for it, as i'm underemployed.
i got this for $40, and they knocked $10 off for it being the last one.
all the modes are fun to play with, and i feel like i don't have a full grasp on all of it yet.
it doesn't sound fantastic, but it sounds good enough that i actually play electric guitar around the house again. i'd give this pedal a seven out of ten.
that and i was going to start putting my nickels and dimes together for a better reverb effect, i'd rather wait longer and hold out for a full reverb unit instead of spending one to two hundred on another stomp box.
*(1x12 solid state marshall of unknown vintage, probably made in england, brought to the us, and converted for use here (back says "apparatus must be earthed" and i've never seen another marshall amp with a white power cord))
wildschwein September 18th, 2009, 09:54 PM I can't speak for the RV600 - so forgive me for the slight topic deviation - but the Echo Machine EM600 delay is too noisy to be usable even when bypassed. It hisses like a motherfxxker. I'm not anti-Behringer by any means - I use and enjoy a lot of their stuff, including some mics, recording interface, tremolo pedal and one of their earlier delay pedals (DD100) but some of the newer stuff like the Echo Machine and even the huge Vintage Time Machine (Memory Man style pedal) are pretty useless and not worth the money. One of the newer ones worth checking out though is the VD400, which is an awesome 300ms max analogue delay that is killer for slapback or shorter echoes.
eddiewagner February 3rd, 2012, 08:13 AM hmmm......
i have just ordered the rv 600 pedal to imitate my fendertank at home. wonder how it sounds like. for 39 euros there is hardly any alternative. if it sounds really bad, i will buy another boss tanksimulator.
who knows, maybe itßs really good.
eddie
eddiewagner February 4th, 2012, 08:16 AM It is not good. Will have to buy the boss again...
eddiewagner February 4th, 2012, 10:14 AM ^^^^^^^
it is not that bad. I have to correct myself after fiddling with that thing for an hour. Not shure if i will keep it. But for the price....
bigp7099 February 4th, 2012, 10:49 AM what is your issue with it? thinking of picking one up because it's cheap and i aint that picky. i have an echo machine, the first time i plugged it in there was this hiss and i thought, this has to go, but then i tried it again and i didn't notice it as much and now i don't really notice at all, especially when playing, and you can do almost anything with it but loop. i don't need the reverb for any particular sound that has to be really good i just want all the options.
eddiewagner February 4th, 2012, 02:01 PM ^^^^sorry mate. But i miss the dwell knob sorta. Guess i am spoiled. Imho.
bigp7099 February 4th, 2012, 02:28 PM yeah i don't think the 2 are going to compare, behringer is a jack of all trades, the boss pedal is a lot more specific
eddiewagner February 4th, 2012, 04:29 PM Monday i will know 4 shure.
eddiewagner February 5th, 2012, 12:23 PM I did a lot of a/b-ing today. If you want the surf/dick-dale vibe the boss is it. The behringer can do a lot of things, but sounds too harmless for my taste. Aloha, eddie
