Bridge Ground wire mounting point?

Hi Newbie here
Could anyone tell me where the bridge ground wire should be fixed on the bridge side ?

Is it soldered or screwed in?

anything I need to look out for when doing this?

Standard Telecaster wiring used (on a bitcaster)

There are many many ways to do this. The main thing is to make sure that the wire makes contact with the bridge plate and stays put. it doesn't necessarily have to be soldered.

In my Teles, I use a multi-filiment wire and I spread the filiments out like a very thin fan. Then, when I mount the bridge, I put the fan under the plate, screw down the plate, and then run the rest of the wire through the pickup cavity into the control cavity where I solder the other end to one of the control pots. It works great.

generally as the traditional tele bridge pickup is affixed to the bridge using conductive metal screws if the bridge pickup itself is shielded - the bridge already is. In that case you may get a ground loop with the extra wire.

If the bridge pickup isn't shielded then you might consider a copper foil shield in the cavity and let the bridge overlap that. Then ground the shield. You can also solder a wire to small patch of copper foil and tape that to the bottom of the pickup being sure that at least 1 of the screws makes contact.

Try grounding your brother! I'd use extra solder:lol:
