HipShot rules?.............

Just a thought! My bending career & experience was born with a Bigsby Palm Pedal, next came the HipShot (B&G), and finally a few years ago I got my first P/W bender which was installed on my favorite Tele. Since then I've had a P/G installed on another Tele. That said, I've played the P/W on almost every gig since I've had it but for some unknown reason I really miss the HipShot but I love my #1 Tele.

Sometimes I wish I'd had the P/W installed on another guitar but I guess it's too late now as you can't reverse installation without getting a new body.

I've just re-installed my HipShot on an old Schecter Mercury Strat which plays like a dream and I just might start gigging with that guitar a lot more. I like to do some slide with bends and it's just not possible with the P/W or P/G benders but the HipShot is king for that as you don't have to use the downward pressure and can lock in the bend with the heel of your hand if you want to and leave your left hand free to move as you wish........JH in Va.

J...i have several teles and other guitars with benders...one with a Shelton, another with a P/G, and also have a Mackenzie rig that is gathering dust....i ALways come back to the Hipshot....

i stray for maybe one setting with some other bender, but i always come crawling back to one of my Hipshots, begging for forgiveness.....

I cannot find any videos on YT about the Hipshot.
No install ones, no playing ones, nothing.
Just one video with a little tour of the workshop.
Anyone know of any?
Thanks!

Hipshot owner/inventor Dave Borisoff says he's working on a Hipshot install video. Look for it soon. Their website is also going to put up some Hipshot lessons in the near future.

helle man's instructional video "B-Bender Mania" go for it. I have a copy and enjoy it a bunch not only for the instruction but because.... Helle man, you're fun to watch!

Here's some shots of the Schecter Strat w/ the HipShot. The pickups are almost exactly like Duncan quarter pounders and sound great. I installed the HipShot D-tuner at the headstock and as you can see from the one picture, I've wrapped the hip lever in black electrical tape. It makes it less noticeable when you're on stage. I also cut off the G lever behind the bridge and keep it tightened down and straight out so I can use it anytime it's needed! Also this is my "Patriotic Guitar" that's the reason for the flags. I've removed the "always in the way" volume knob and plugged the hole. The volume and tone controls work now on all the pickups which is better to me as a regular strat has no tone control on the bridge pickup!......JH in Va.
