Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready".
This has been the most challenging mix yet so please give constructive criticism if something strikes you odd. I may have missed it. This was mixed on my old computer speakers. Let me know if you think it needs a remix.
Thanks for listening

Love it, your most creative.
The guitar part with the rotary? tremolo? effect seems to be drowning out parts of the acoustic and is a little too high in volume for my ears. I like that sound though and think you could cure it with some eq and by dropping the fader back a bit. Wouldn't take much to remix but that's my ears, maybe I'm hearing things that aren't an issue.
You're really improving Dan, and it sure shows you are enjoying this.

Thanks Stu. Good call on the trem guitar. I knew there was something bothering me about that. I will put it in my notes.

Keep taking risks Dan!
Your voice is as good or better than the guys in the subdudes which is an awesome band if you haven't listened to them.
I could hear you sing "One Word" and just kill on it.

Thanks for the suggestion Big John. I have never heard it before but I found many versions on Youtube. I will live with the song for a couple of days and see if it sparks anything.

I couldn't find the Linda Rondstadt version on YouTube, that has a great 'vibe' but for pure emotion it would have to be Jimmy Cliffs original .......
