Our Commercial rules are split into two separate sets of rules -- one set covering Vendor Program Members and another set of rules for Regular Members.

1. Regular members -- are prohibited from making any mention of their commercial websites, products or services that they own, operate, are employed by, or produce and offer for sale. Here are the commercial rules for all Regular Members of the TDPRI:

No Commercial Posts PERIOD
No regular member may post any information about selling a product or service.

Members may not mention, state or discuss that they own/work for a company, website, or concern that sells guitar and music related products and services.

For our purposes any one selling anything that is made or purchased for resale is a commercial concern. (Hobbies, part-time businesses, garage based businesses are included in this definition as are websites with items for sale, advertising, or affiliate links.)

For regular members, posting a link to your commercial website (blog, forum, etc) is ONLY permitted in your User Profile: "Home Page URL."

Any and all links, logos, and company names are PROHIBITED in your username, avatar, signature or posts on the forum.

If you violate this policy you will have all posts that violate the policy removed, your account will be temporarily suspended and you will receive an email noting the same. Once all commercial violations are remedied and you agree to follow the rules in the future, your account may be reactivated. If you continue to violate the policy then you risk being banned from the website.

NOTE: Music for sale on CD or Download that YOU performed is excluded from this rule.

2. Vendor Program Members-- Members may sign up for our Vendor Program which permits them to discuss products and services that they make and sell. Vendor Program membership also allows members to have commercial usernames, avatars and signatures with links to their websites. Plus, they may post product notices and special offers in our Vendor Forum (only).

If you have a product or service for sale to the TDPRI audience then you'll no doubt want to join our Vendor Program. The cost is $250 per year OR $25 per month auto-billed for 12 months ($300 a year)
