Hello everyone.

I have a serious problem with my Peavey Classic 50 212, specially on the saturated channel. At the same level as the clean channel, the power falls down dramatically. If you have any idea to resolve my problem, I thank you for helping me !

Many greetings !

Switch the 2 tubes farthest from the power tubes. If the clean channel now drops in volume instead of the dirt channel, you know it's a tube.

If not, it didn't cost anything to try.

Here is my Classic 20

I probably paid to much to have my love back but atleast I have her back. I remember how sweet this little amp sounded so big and I wanted her back! All I did was replace the tubes to JJ EL84 and JJ ECC83. Last owner already upgraded speaker to a Celestion 16 ohm V10-60.

Here is my Classic 20:

Unique Classic 50 2 x 10

I've just joined this "club" with a unique amp consisting of a Classic 50 chassis in a custom hand-made solid pine 2 x 10 cabinet styled after the Fender '57 Tweed Twin. More details and pics here in the Amp Central Station forum.

The amp's been treated to a set of JJ Tesla EL84s, sounds great and I'm looking forward to gigging with it.

I might say that I've previously used a couple of Classic 30s on jams and gigs, including one really beat-up example in a supplied backline, and I've been very happy with them.

I own a Classic 50 head with 412 greenback cab, loved it so much i decided to get a C30 for home while the 50 stayed in practice room and gigs. can't say they sounded the same but both rock hands down. One thing is for sure with these amps, JJ'S WOKE THEM UP!!!

Cleaned up and hooked up my Classic 20

Changed out the Celestion V10-60 (1st gen of their Vintage series) to a Celestion G10 Greenback. I love the Greenback 10x better imo.

This is my gigging amp. Although, I've never had a gig. But I do use it for rehearsal. ;)

Does anyone know where I can get Peavey badges? Both my Bandit 112 and my Classic 30 are missing the Peavey badges, and I'm proud of my Peavey stuff. My Classic 30 has an aftermarket tube securing assembly and a protective grate. It was like that when I got it (traded a Blues Jr. for it).

Call Peavey directly the badges are like $3 To order replacement parts, please call Peavey at 877-732-8391 also the total needs to be over $5 so get more then one or some corner guards.

I just recently bought a Peavey JD30-T off eBay. It's the Jack Daniels version of the Classic 30. Saying I love this amp is an understatement.

That Jack Daniel's amp looks cool.

I have a Classic 50 head that I run into a Seismic cab loaded with 2 12" Vintage 30s. I have owned it about 2 months and love it.

Scored this beat up Classic 50 a couple of days ago. Looks really awful, missing knobs and needs new tubes in the preamp section (they're really noisy when I dial the preamplevel in around 8 to 10). Other than that it's really in good working condition (other than that the fan is really loud, but I've heard that that's a common thing with these amps).

So, I need a cab. Have anyone tried a 212 with a combination of a vintage 30 and a greenback? I've tried a Framus once with the same speaker combo and it sounded pretty good.

I guess I am in.
410E early 90's.
Don't use it much.
I am too old to carry the thing anymore.
Too loud for what I do anyway, but I love the amp.
Get's that sweet right on the edge burn.

Love my 30, but i am having a real hard time finding a Peavey extension cab for it.

Would also like to add a 20 to the herd, but these are getting harder to find as well.
