I'm in for sure .What a bargain and what sounds. I loves this little guy.I was going to buy the cab also but it sounds so good with my Sovtek cab with 2 Celestion Relic 12's that I'm not going to bother.

I use my Rebel 20 at the local Jam night each week through a Marshall 1960A std quad box.
The other side of the stage has a genuine 50W 70s JMP Marshall head through a Krank quad box (ugh) People fight over who is gonna play the Rebel.... These amps are particularly nice through a greenback equipped quad...like this Fender Tone Master CS Quad for example...

Love it!! I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. I traded a Peavey Classic 50 for it and so far,.. no regrets at all, and my ears thank me everytime I turn it on. I just play for my own enjoyment these days and the Classic 50 was way louder than I could stand in my little appartment and the Rebel is perfect. I think it's a keeper...
Anybody swapped tubes yet? Oh,... and I really like the matching cab, I think it sounds pretty good now and I expect it to be even better as the speaker breaks in... |

The new Egnater 30 is even better than the 20. Some great improvements.
I had the 30 and it was an incredible amp for the price. I did return it because the overdrive was not as clean and even as I needed it to be for Country - so I needed to go to a Dr. Z RXES. But the Egnater is about $600 and the Z is closer to $2700 by the time you get the Air Brake for it.... The new Egnator is also a work of beauty, the two tone brown is gorgeous and you get an great cover with very expensive thread embossing. It is the best looking amp I have had here. the 30 should be a huge hit. Can even blend between EL and 6V5's - great technology. |

Just about to buy one – the 20 head... can't find a combo this side of Christmas.
I'd be using it exclusively at home, but I want a full sound – creamy as opposed to ice-picky highs, southern rock and blues as opposed to country twang. My guitar is an American Deluxe Ash Strat. Before I buy one (or wait for the combo), I'd be interested to know: 1) What you think is the best spec for a cab... 1x12, 2x12, 4x10... ??? 2) Should I look for speakers close to the maximum output – 30-40w rather than, say, 80 watt? 3) What specific speaker(s) is (are) a great match 4) For a stock cab – apart from the matching Egnater, any suggestions? I was wondering Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1x12 because they're not too expensive, nor too big and it wouldn't kill me if I eBay'd the Celestion that's in it. I'll put this up as a new thread... sorry if you get deja vu. |

I'm in
Had one for six months. Still loving it. Best grab and go blues/rock jam head ever.

I think that it's at its best when played through a 4 x 12 head, running at 50% on volume and gain together (at a minimum). But at those levels, it is very LOUD. |

They didn't have a 20, but the place was a zoo and I don't know if I would have taken the time to A/B 'em. I wouldn't worry about the tone, though - the 10 watt difference is only going to translate into dB at BIG volume, and this thing is plenty loud. And it only weighs 40#!!! I'm gonna be a happy, happy camper (and so is my back).
