Gotta post another clip.....That Youtube thang and a crappy Digi-cam is doing a true injustice to both the DR Z Galaxie and that lil' Red Model "E" I jsut finsihed for one our members.
Sound sample Click> http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8611259 ![]() AND I'll add a dirty clip, poured on the Holy Grail reverb and using the mudd setting on the So.Ill "Plankster" I just built (The LARSQUIRE)....... Clicky> http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8611822 Its a quata cocked wah mod and can sound quite huge. Last edited by Hollmanp90; January 13th, 2010 at 02:36 PM. |

I have a Maz Jr. 2x10 combo. I love the amp, it's not quiet, but it is quiet enough for small venue gigs. I can dial in great tone on my Strat as well as my Les Paul just using the cut knob (and adjusting the master volume). When my Tele is finished, I assume it will sound equally good through this amp. I have heard several of the models and pretty much liked them all. My brother plays through an A/B'ed Maz Sr for clean and Maz Jr for dirty sometimes. I'd recommend them to just about anyone.

Got asked to do a dirty and cranked......Its really the first time I have had a chance to record anything loud or at all.......So I'm dialing things in.....No FX.....The "WAH" tone comes from a mod on the mud setting I'll refer to as the "Big Ballz" mod from here on out. Very usasble on the clean side of thangs' as opposed to the 1/2 cocked way I had been using with the Don Mare Super Sport. Soundclip Clicky> http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8616163 |

I just got my copy of the two-hour plus Z DVD and it is really something. Pretty much any question one has about "what" a particular Z amp will do is covered. The guys doing the demo's for the amps are Joe Walsh, Carl Verheyen, Buddy Whittington, Dean Parks, Tracii
Gunns, and Brad Paisley. If the disc was not copyrighted I would post some clips. Maybe the good Dr. and the production company will agree to put some more of the clips up on YouTube. |

I went to see a friend of mine last night. He is playing with an up and comer, David Nail. He just got a new Prescription Rx. It made me miss my Maz 18....
But I still love my 66 Deluxe Reverb.

I have a Maz 18 jr and must say it is just a wonderful amp. It was a good investment. It has a nice Vox chime to it but it is much more flexible. Great quality amp, built like a tank. I go back and forth between the Z and a AC15.
They are similar, but different. Come to think of it, maybe I should run them in stereo to get the best of both worlds.

my new EZG-50 tone monster
Bought both a TRRI and this the same day. It took about 10 minutes to re-pak the TRRI for a refund. The Doc has out Blackfaced Fender.

pedalcr8z - got the exact same amp a month ago. The milkshake thick tone is unbelieveable. I play country clean with a Keeley compressor most of the time, but I love what my pedals sound like after I re-calibrated from the settings I use with my Goodsell Super 17 - simply amazing. My arms are going to get a little longer haulin' the EZG 50 between gigs, but if that's what it takes to get tone like this I have no complaints.
