Princeton Reverb Circuits - AA1164 in a '75 PR?
Anyone know if the AA1164 circuit was still around in 1975 Princeton Reverbs, ones with a GZ rectifier? Did the circuits change with the push-pull boost? Thanks.

The AA1164 circuit was used up until the push/pull models were introduced in the late 70s. However, they stopped using the GZ34 back in 1968 (SF drip edge models) and began shipping the amps with higher voltage power transformers and 5U4s. That continued throughout the 70s.

I sometimes clip that .002uF cap out and use it with a 220K resister as a treble bleed kit for my guitars. I've also reused some of those .047uF "death caps" coming off the ground switch as tone caps for my guitars as well. "Blackfacing" an amp can provide a wealth of reusable parts ;-)
