5E3 Clone vs stock 66 Vibrolux Reverb mp3s

A couple of years ago I recorded some trax to compare my 5E3 clone with my stock 66 Vibrolux Reverb to get that Stones 'Brown Sugar' tone... The 5E3 has an Eminence Cannabis Rex ceramic speaker and Mercury Mag transformers...JJ 6V6's

Here they are

I probably had the VR Volume up at around 6-7...

guitar: Fender Custom Shop Clarence White Tele with Alan Hamel pickups...

Mark;...yes I agree...My 5E3 is a great classic rock amp. The speaker makes a huge difference. When I built it I went retro and had a Weber Alnico 12A125 in there that I di not like at all. It was really crappy sounding ...to my ears anyway.
