BJ extension speaker question

Would it be possible to use something like a splitter in the speaker jack of a Blues Jr. to run an extension speaker cabinet?

I don't know the answer to this question, but I sold a 1x12 Cyber Deluxe that did not have an exteranal speaker jack. The guy who bought said the first thing he was going to do was add one, and he acted as if it were no big deal. If that were the case, I would have kept it because that was part of the reason I got rid of it. I wanted to add an extension cabinet to it.
