Look at old department store amps. A lot of the Danelectros, Silvertones, etc, were copies of tweeds. They won't really sound like a SF, probably darker sounding, but maybe just what you need for lower volume.

If you want to go in the DIY path... not shure if it sound like the silver champ tho...
I built a 1/4 - 1/2W tube amp. Using old cars tubes that works on 12V. My 1965 H400A tube amp.
It's rated for 3...maybe 4 watts. Drives an 8" Jensen Special Design Alnico speakers. Doesn't play very loud (bedroom amp only). Very sweet sounding & breaks-up smoothly! Steve |
