To Fix or to Trash? That is the Question
Hello, I pulled a very old Kustom Pa-10 head out of the attic a few weeks ago.(It must of been unused for 10+ years) I cleaned it up pretty nice inside and out (contact cleaner etc.).Only to find that when I play trough it the sound gets crackily and cuts in & out. But sometimes it works fine? I also noticed if i tap on the front panal it clears up somtimes. Is it worth the repair cost ?
Thanks for any feed back....... |

Before you trash it you should have it looked over by an amp tech to see what's wrong with it and have the tech give you an approximate price for fixing it. I don't know how a Kustom Pa-10 in working order sounds, but if it is an easy fix it may be well worth it.
If on the other hand it costs too much to have it fixed you should take care of the amp and use some of its parts, perhaps the trannies can be used for something nice? |
