Fender Bassman 50 Combo?

I was in a local guitar shop yesterday (Twin Town guitars for those in the Minneapolis area) and I saw something interesting. It was a Fender Bassman 50 combo amp. It has a silver faceplate, but my dad said that he didn't know of any Bassman combo amps. It was going for $400 and looked really interesting. I didn't get a chance to try it out though...

So, my question is, did Fender ever produce a Fender Bassman 50 combo amp? Or is this modded?

My guess is that the amp you saw is a Bassman head built into a combo. I know some of the guys here at TDPRI has a SF Bassman turned into a combo that looked very nice, I just can't remember who it is...
If you like how it sounds and want to stick with the 4x10 format it should be a neat solution compared to lugging a head and a cab around. Just make sure that the cab looks well made so you don't end up with a particle board piece of home made done it myself junk.

59' style Bassmen use 4x10's and are a combo amp.
