Visual Sound Pony Review

Hey, I read some reviews here but none did it justice. Being that I actually own one I decided I would give it a review. OK! First of all I have only used Fender amps. I just sold my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue in favor of this amp. The Blues Deluxe is great but it gets muddy with effects. The Pony takes effects VERY well. When there are no effects, the amp is super clean. You could play some Earth Wind and Fire or whatever super clean sound that you need. By using my route 66, I was able to get 90% of the same tone from the Fender. The Fender does have a better reverb. When I crank my gain on my pedals the Pony still gives clarity. I can hear every string and every delayed note. That is what bugged me with the Fender. When I max out the amp, It is LOUD and CLEAN. The speaker does help disperse the sound. When I mic it, I have no problem finding a good sound. Here are the downsides. I need to buy a new reverb tank. :( One of my tubes rattles and drives me insane. I push it in but if i move the amp around i have to do it again. Hopefully this will be fixed when it is re-released next year. These are my two qualms with the amp. While do miss the large than life blues sound of my fender, this amp gives me way more options. The knobs have a much wider sweep in the tone shaping than the fender. I was able to score my pony for 550, I sold my Fender for 350. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would like a Twin but I don't have the cash. The twin is a great amp. Each amp is unique and has a purpose but I think that the VS has gotten a bad rep from people who have only seen it. If you try it, run effects through it. Any questions?
