5E3 in progress

Well I just heard my new 5E3 for the first time. It's a Mission kit assembled by my good buddy, Allen, who is coronablue here on the forum. It sounds incredible.
The first channel is very Fender-y...warm, round, bluesy. The second channel has more of an AC15/18watt type sound...much more brittle and punchy. Exactly what I was hoping for and Allen tweaked things just right to get me the sounds I wanted.
There is still some more tweaking to do. I'll build a cabinet for it this week and hopefully have some sound clips up this weekend.
I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Well...I was hoping to have some time to spend making a really nice cabinet for this project, but I'm so busy at work that I don't have much spare time.
This will have to do for now. About $20 and 1.5 hours invested...the chassis and speaker will be loaded later this afternoon. More than likely I'll be a little loaded this afternoon as well.
It's not pretty but I think it will serve it's purpose.

Thanks Shannon, it turned out decent for a quick, cheap, hack job. I never got around to buying a finger joint jig so I put this thing together with dowel pins. Worked out pretty nice, actually. The only screws are the ones holding the baffle board in and the ones holding the handle...that's a gate handle from Home Depot by the way.
You can kind of see the blemish on the grill cloth...I did that about 30 seconds after I finished stretching the cloth. I have more fabric but don't feel like fixing it right now.

It's all put together and sounding incredible. I'm using my buddy's old P12Q until my speaker shows up. We played it with my guitar and all of his guitars and it sounds great. Takes pedals well, too. It's amazing how different the two channels sound. It's like two completely different amps.
I can't convey how happy I am...this by far the best sounding piece of gear I've ever had.
Here are some more pics...

Mine sits in a makeshift plywood cab since more than a year now, and I just can't wait to get the Mojo cab that I have ordered home.
