That sounds interesting. The fact that the knobs and switches stick out and are susceptible to damage is a negative for me. His other amps look cool.

Actually looks to me like the old enclosures for tube PA heads. Much like an RCA I have myself.

From the specs and details I've been able to gather. It's almost as though they were more worried about how it SOUNDS....crazy as that may seem.

I'm just teasing , but joking apart , I would prefer something that looked a little less thrown together .
It just lacks something in the cosmetic department for what is probably a very expensive amp .
Even the name is cheesy . In this country , you couldn't call something royal without the queens approval as far as i'm aware .

But if it has the sound .........

I have a custom ordered Burriss 2-10 Vibrolux type of amp. I saw the prototype Royal Bluesman a couple of weeks before NAMM. I'm not sure of the price but I believe these are aimed at a price point that is significantly lower than the combo amps. The first ones were _just_ finished before NAMM. I would suspect that the appearance might change over time. To me, the RB looks like one of those small trickle charge battery chargers everyone has in their garage. The Burriss logo has vertical and horizontal lines which are...royal blue. Hence the idea for the name. Given the amps resemblence to a battery charger, I would have opted for some louvers in the cabinent and called it "The Charger".

The looks don't bother me....old school PA as mentioned. The lack of protection for the knobs and switches is a legitimate concern and would preclude any interest on my part.

Just heard of this amp...Was looking for new verb and trem, looks like ill get another amp instead! Too much features and good tones out of this unit for me not to at least try it. Im getting the mo together this week and then will look for a place to buy the puppy! Personnaly i dont care for the knobs and switches, just goota be careful!

I've been looking at this for a while, and the multiple routing and use functionality are pretty tempting, I must say.

Simple, but well thought out.

I saw a picture of one of those somewhere and remember thinkin' to myself, "I wonder what the guts look like...all those pots that close together has gotta be a mess!"

I like the idea, though...small, vib & 'verb, I'd try one if I saw one.

I've had # 7 for awhile. It's a very nice clean sounding amp with very nice reverb. The tremolo is waaaay deep. In fact I keep the depth on minimum as more depth gets very on/off trobbing.

I bought an Avatar cube speaker cab (blue) and loaded it with a Tonker Lite. It really sounds nice. The head is 14 lbs. and the loaded cab is 26 lbs. It's plenty for live or practice and sounds nice in the living room too. I've only pugged single coils into it. I've also played it through a Truetone loaded with 2 Celestion Blues. I actually like it through the one Tonker Lite better.

I tried it as a stand alone reverb/tremolo unit along with an 18 Watt Lite II and it worked perfectly. I haven't yet ran a CD player through it. The powered trem footswitch is a cool idea.

I apologize for not being able to describe the sound. That is difficult. It's 18 watts but it definitely doesn't sound like a Marshall 18 watt. It also doesn't sound like a Dr. Z Maz Jr (also 18 watts; 2 EL84's). It doesn't sound like a Fender. The guy at Indoor Storm compared it to a Vox but I had an AC 15 and it doesn't sound like that either. I think maybe somewhere between a Fender Blackface and a Vox. It's also not as loud as the 18 watter or the Dr. Z which are both incredibly loud for 18 watts.
