The best sounding cheap rig on earth...the whole kit (minus the beer) cost me $600 ($400 for the used Reverend Flatroc, $200 for a new Peavey Envoy). Good for growlin' rockabilly, smooth Chet Atkins, and clangy Byrdsesque stuff. Blink, green light!

Just purchased a new but used Classic 30. First Peavey I have owned since my first bass amp in 1985, a TNT 130.
WTH is wrong with me???? Peavey, I am sorry I forsook thee. Once again I am now a big PV FAN

I have used my C50 410 since the first year they came out in 90. Just bought my first Tele. Highway One. Looking for a half descent Robben Ford sound with the Tele and C50. Is it possible with the 2 channels? What settings are you all using?

Peavey keeps making tempting products. I tried a 6534+ not long ago, and it sounded absolutely fantastic over a wide range of music. It had a ton of good, usable tones on tap, and the ability to quickly switch through them. I'm not really wanting to drop $1100-1200 on a new head any time soon, but its going to be very tempting when these start showing up used for a bit less!

Happy New Year to all the Peavey brethren out there! Had my best friend over last night and fired up my 1 15 DB/ Classic 2 12 "Psudostack," gave him my Les Paul, and let him rip into it. Yeah, his mind was BLOWN! He just couldn't believe what he was playing through. It was great. The look on his face and the tone he had were equally priceless! You guys would have appreciated it!

My current little Peavey family, minus the Beltone on the upper right.
1991 Peavey Stereo Chorus 212, Peavey Micro Bass, Peavey Delta Blues 210.. a 2000 - 2005 ?. Between the SC 212 and the Delta Blues, they cover a wide range of tone. The little Micro bass has a surprisingly nice tone for it's size, as long as it stays on the floor.

I picked up a Valveking 112 several weeks ago. It keeps up with a TRRI and a plexi 412 half-stack. Well, so far, at least. I'm still bonding with it, but can't get over how many different sounds I've gotten out of it.
I need to get the footswitch soon, as we've almost got our setlist nailed down and ready to go. I also got an old 218 bass cab for free a few months back, and tried it out with my little Champ 600. I can't say how the sound is, but the cab looks like it's been through a war, yet the speakers are fine. I'm planning on getting a cheap bass with a bit of my tax refund and running my repaired Fender Deluxe 112 (old solid-state, 65W amp) through it. Needless to say, I'll be kicking the tires on a Peavey bass or two when I get serious about bass shopping. |
