Thanks for posting that link. I'm an Electrical Engineer and have worked with vacuum tubes for over 30 years. I have not, however, ever seen anyone make one. This was excellent!

I guess some of you are thinking about the same thing I am:
In a not so distant future, when it is no longer profitable to manufacture vacuum tubes in Eastern Europe and China , this is what is left - a couple of engineer geniuses who make them by hand, in the cellar of their house! Good handmade tubes will probably cost a pretty penny. Hmmm...maybe I shouldn't buy that Ampeg SVT... / Tony |

That was breathtaking... one of the best expenditures of 17 minutes ever. Thanks so much for posting it. I smell a new forum about to get under way... who's up for it? Booteek tubes fer booteek tube amps. |
