Update: Got my 67 SFDR back from the shop
My original post was on Dec. 17th when my amp went out on me.

I brought it home and plugged it in. Immediately, I notice the constant hiss is greatly reduced. Also, the vibrato is still not working. The reverb is fine. I do not have a foot switch, but if I'm not mistaken, the vibrato should work without a foot pedal, shouldn't it? Any thoughts on this? KC |

Vibrato

Reverb works without the footswitch, vibrato doesn't. |

The staticky sound might just have been some solvent from electrostatic cleaner evaporating on the tube pins. It can often help to gently make sure (with power off, unplugged) that the tubes are all correctly seated. Sometimes when the half-twist covers are fitted the tube ends up a little crooked in the socket and not making good contact on all pins.
Sometimes it seems to take an amp a while to come to operating temp and then the noises go. As long as they don't return there is no issue. Another thing to make sure is the reverb cables are firmly plugged in and the connections clean at both ends. To check the connections on the tank you need to carefully remove the bag and slide the tank out. Without footswitch you need a shorting jack for tremolo to work.
