Tube Sub 6V6 = 6AY5 = 587 = 6P6S????

6V6 = 6AY5 = 587 = 6P6S
I saw this stated in an auction but I can't find any net source that says it is OK to sub this way. I ask because of old free tubes that I came to own. What's up? Thanks a ton to everyone in advance of responses.

Thanks for the link anyway.

I already use that link. But that link doesn't show any of those possible subs listed in that auction, and I can't find any such info in my tube sub info, so I think the claim is perhaps wrong. Thank you for your consideration though.

FWIW, 6EY6 and 6EZ5 work very nicely but require a bias adjustment and substantially more filament current.

Ohh yeah. If you can find some old NOS TungSol 6EY6 you be in serious bid-ness. Those things (with mandatory bias adjust) simply kick ass in a DR. I think the GE 6EY6 is just a 6V6 relabel.
