Vox DA15

I stopped by the local shop this afternoon and played a few "practice" amps.

After tying a few amps, I pretty much stopped when I plugged in a Vox DA15 The clean tones are very nice and adding bit of verb or delay really ups the ante. Actually, all the tones of the 11 amp models sounded very good. The volume it puts out was a real surprise.

I was going to continue the search and try out a few Roland Cube amps, but when the store owner said he'd give it to me for a $100 bill, I thought I'd better take him up on it!

Anyone here have one of these little beauts? For the price, it was pretty much a no brainer.

I'm on my way this weekend to try out some practice amps, and I aim to check one of those out! Wish they put compressor & delay on there together.

i have a da 5. thatīs a pretty nice amp too. if the da 15 is in the same ballpark, just a bit more volume, it shure is a good amp. does it have that microphone-input like the da5?

No Eddie, it does not have the mic input...just a single guitar input.

I used the little DA15 for worship this past Sunday and it did a nice job. Plenty loud enough. It does lack the bass response I'm used to, but in all honesty, I pretty much just plugged in, set it on clean with a bit of delay and started playing..... without taking time to tweak the treble, bass and mid controls. I read a review that stated the tone controls did little to nothing, so I'll have to find that our for myself when I have some time to fiddle with it. For $100 though, I'm very happy and I think it will do just fine. Lot of amp for the money.

I just bought a DA5 for late night playing.

I'm so happy with the blackface model and reverb and trem that I put the Champ in the basement recording corner (gasp!).

It's nice to get some of those classic sounds with dragging out the whole pedal board.

I must be middle aged and lazy.

I have a DA 5 . Nice little practice amp. Just for the heck of it I removed the two speaker wires and hooked up the Tone Tubby ceramic 12" mounted in my tweed deluxe...wow I was blown away by the volume and tone .....all with thumping bass!
Im going to extend the speaker wires in the DA 5 so I can set it on top of my Tweed Deluxe and use the Deluxe's speaker whenever I want.
