Just received "The Guitar Amp Handbook -Understanding tube amplifiers and getting great sounds" by Dave Hunter (ISBN 0-87930-863-x).

Wow. What a great read. I've several other tube amp books but this one really answers a lot of fundamental questions a curious guitarist might have about how the amp does what it does.

I know some of you guys down here are professional or severe amp tech hobbyists, so you've either read it or have moved far beyond the level this book aims at.

Hunters idea's about amplifiers, what they are and how they do their job validate opinions I've held for a long time. A great read and wonderful resource for any guitarist that thinks a $3k Les Paul is their most important instrument.

Highly recommend this book.
