Settings for a Classic 30 please?

Can someone help me out with settings for the classic 30 I just bought. It has a 12" Blue Marvel in it, I don't have any idea what kind of tubes, hadn't even looked. I'd just like some settings to get started with. Thanks

It isn't a particularly complicated amp, so the best advice I can give is this:

Go play it and turn the knobs until you find the tones you dig. Oughta take about fifteen minutes!

Cheers, Tim

I would start with the bass, mid, and treble half way up. Reverb around 3, normal around 3-4, and pre at 9-12 with the post at 3-4. See what that does for you.

On any amp...

my only constant dial on the reverb is 3. I start diming my bass (on 10), my mid between 2 and 5, and my treble between 5 and 8. I start my pre and post on 4...and I adjust accordingly depending on the room.

clean tones

volume at 3-4, bass, mid, treble up around 7-10, reverb around 7-8, bridge pick up... nice and twangy... that's what I was playing at church last night.

Crunchy tones, back off the mid to 2-3, reverb to 0, post at 2-3, pre at 10-12...

Really depends upon your pick ups a bit, and what you're trying to achieve...

Hey, wait a minute, if you got it new, doesn't it have the "manual" that came with it? Look on page 7

"Rock" supposedely = Treble@ 6-7, Mid@ 5-7, Bass@ 10-12, post@2-4, pre@9-11

"Metal" supposedely = Treble@ 9-12, Mid@ 1-3, Bass@ 10-12, post@2-4, pre@11-12

"Blues" supposedely = Treble@ 8-11, Mid@ 5-7, Bass@ 4-6, post@11-12, pre@6-10

"Country" supposedely = Treble@ 5-8, Mid@ 4-6, Bass@ 6-8, post@5-7, pre@5-6

But, as with anything, YMMV.
