correct way to split amps without a stereo effect.

it seems as though when i split my amps using my sterio chorus pedal, i introduce some hum and hiss into the signal chain. i do have a nice chorus pedal, the diamond halo chorus. this also has a phase switch. is it not true when hooking up 2 amps together with an effect that there is phase problems? any help would help in this matter. looking to split my swart atomic space tone with either a home made, not by me the wattage is 35 watts its a fender tweed deluxe transformer that i know tubes are american phillips or RCA. the Amp is made in 1942 same circuit as the early Fender tweed amps, the circuit in this amp is very close to a tweed deluxe. or with my cheapo, but yet i love so much vibro champ xd. great amp. it seems as though i get hum or hiss, at least in my apartment, i have not had the opportunity to rock it out in a rehearsal space with better regulated power from this decade.

dunno about your amps, but in most amps with 2 inputs to each channel (high and low, 1 and 2, etc.) you can plug into the high input and run a second guitar cable from the low input to your other amp. if you have phase issues between the two amps, just switch the speaker wires in one of them.

There may be a phase problem when running to two amps - 50/50 chance of it .

I can highly recommend the Radial Switchbone (JX2) for running to two amps without introducing additional noise. It also has a variable "drag" pot to help match your guitar's impedance. I even use the Switchbone for a dual-input amp (such as my Vox AC30CC, Richter 5E7+, or Victoria Regal II) to be able to channel-switch a single amp. It is a bit expensive, but I've found it to be a fantastic investment.

It's common to get a ground loop that produces hum in that situation. An ebTech Hum Eliminator will safely solve the problem for $60.
