VOX AD30VT...rear cover removal..
Has anyone tried running their AD30VT without the rear cabinet cover? I've heard people putting a hole in the rear cover, but how about removing it completely?

I took it off once, but have since put it back on. I couldn't really hear much of a difference... of course that was back when I just got into the whole electric guitar thing. I might try it again soon just for fun.

Why do you want to take it off? It's a modeling amp, so the speaker is pretty much high-fi, and if you want an open back sound, the cabinet models are supposed to take care of that. I haven't played one of these, but it is a pretty popular amp, and I would imagine that the engineers knew what they were doing when they designed a closed back cabinet and selected an appropriate speaker?
