I had one. I'm not sure about the year of my particular amp, but I think I bought it new in about 85-86. At the time I knew NOTHING about amps - tube or otherwise. I knew that it was loud enough, and clean enough to take pedals, and that's all that mattered then.
I took that amp around the world, after I started playing on cruise ships and various resorts. It died. It died a horrible death, and left me having to make a mad dash to buy another amp - ANY amp that worked - so that I could do my job. Not good. I personally DON'T recommend it. If your looking for something "tubey" sounding, that is lightweight, I suggest that you try a Tech 21 Trademark 60, or a Roland BluesCube 60 - something along that line.

If it’s fully functional I would say that $100 is an equitable price. If you prefer tube amps, as you mention, I’m thinking you might be very disappointed but you could always sell it and recoup all the money.
If you do get it, watch out for a radical volume knob in the distortion channel.

I too had one and it kept cutting out so I bought a new Peavey Classic Chorus. So that is two amps bad out of several responses I do not think it was one of Fenders Finest. It was loud however. If you could get it for 50 bucks I would take a chance on it I would not for a C note. |

I had one in '84 & '85..............
that I used six nights a week when I was at the DJ Ranch in North Long Beach, California. It was a pretty cool little amp and sounded great. The club was pretty fair sized and we didn't mike the amps and it cut through the mix with a very nice clean sound. When I moved to Virginia at the end of '85 I brought it with me and after moving here, I changed the speaker to a JBL which even made it sound better. I traded it for a Peavey Session 500 for use with my pedal steel but sometimes I wish I had it back. For a hundred bucks, that's a helluva deal, it should be worth twice that..........JH in Va.
