Well, I am one of those that are guilty of voting tube preference before knowing what the heck the question was. hahahahha on us tube fanatics.
After listening to the clip, all I can say is that it is processed too much for my taste for blues playing.....so it is not a non-master volume tube amp, imho. If it is a tube amp, the preamp gain is dialed in so high that I don't particularly care for the sonics in this type of music and therefore don't really care what amp it is. I would like to hear Rob playing this music straight through a tweed Fender. I can't retract my vote, and I think so many of us have voted before listening that the results are not valid. I don't hear a tube amp here....after the digital recording and digital internet and all.....I could be wrong but I think it is SS. The reverb is not wet and tubelike, and I don't like the level of gain. I don't hear any depth to the sound. |

i too jumped the gun on the poll, thinking it was a preference thing, and voted tube before i listened. that said, some of my best home recording was done with a modeler (POD).
