What speaker in a 112 Matchless Lightning

Anybody know what speaker is in a 1 X 12 lightning? Have they used the same Speakers since their introduction?

I'm contemplating a Lightning build, and thinking of some kind of greenback clone for the speaker. I'd like something somewhere between a real matchless and an 18 watt marshall.

The Matchless website doesn't say...

Celestion blue.
Or Weber Blue Dog.
Or Eminence Red Fang.
They're all alnico, Brit-voiced speakers...
All great matches with el84s...

They come with

a Matchless aged G12H

They put acetone on the edge or something.

In th older 2x12s they put 1 G12H and 1 V30.
But I think the 2x12 dissimmilar pair is different in current offerings

I've purchased a replacement from Matchless before, but these days I'd go with an Avatar-aged G12H (only sonically aged...so called Hellatone)

Weber Blue Dog to accent that Vox-chimeyness

or

Weber Silver Bell to knock down the treble a bit while still giving it that classic British tone (more Marshally I suppose)

Personally, I like to mix them in a 2x10 or a 2x12 cab for Lightnings or 18 Watters.
