Tweed Deluxe Joy!

Did a short gig tonight with just my parts-o-caster (with Keystones) and my '57 Deluxe.....straight in.What a joy! Pure sweet clean tweed tone.It was mainly a country type deal, and the volume was on about 3.I play it around the house alot like that, but this is the first time I've gigged sans pedals with this amp.
You don't miss reverb with that 3 dimensional tone!

It'd almost lead you to believe that the tweed Deluxe and Telecaster were sorta made for each other, eh? I'm just entering that world myself. Fun stuff.

Reverb? whats reverb? Isn't that what some people use to try to make their bad amps sound like a nice open airy tweed style amp? Just kidding.

I played a tweed super clone in a guitar store about 4 years ago and fell in love with the tweed sound. 90% of my playing time is on my Gibson GA-6 which is nearly identical to a tweed deluxe. I don't miss reverb and would have to take it a step further not only is the tweed deluxe a great match for the tele but also the strat. If you think about it both guitars were designed along side tweed amps. Everyone thinks that the blackface amps are "the" fender sound but in 1954 when the stratocaster was born there was a tweed amp in the store right along with it.

The Tele and tweed Deluxe were made for each other! I was a Strat lover before getting my 5E3 clone.

I don't even really like the reverb in my Princeton Reverb and Vibrolux Reverb anymore!

i just LOOOOOOOOOOVE my 5e3 clone (right now my third one)....

it is slightly modded (normal channel modded to a bright Princeton tone) and it is a perfect match for my telecaster with Keystone in the bridge

well, but i won't spit to the sky.... I made a 6G15 clone (tube reverb unit from 63') and the Deluxe loves it to :P

Tweed's and Teles, go together like a, . . . (could almost be a song)? It's as good as it gets.
