Which tubes have to be "matched" ? Power tubes of preamp tubes ? 6L6's or 12AX7's.

Power tubes - but they don't necessarily have to all be matched (someone will correct me if I'm wrong), in an amp like a Twin Reverb for example - the outter two, and inner two tubes will need to be matched - but you don't need a matched quartet.
