Tele players with Roland Cube 30Xs?

Recently bought a Cube 30X and it's a fine amp for the money. What settings do fellow Tele users use for more vintage and countryish sounds? I haven't checked to see if there's a Roland users' forum with shared settings yet...

I can't quote exact settings, but I pretty much stay on the british combo mode with my tele. That's the AC30ish sound. You'll need to crank they treble, they're dark amps. Great amp for the money and surprisingly loud.

I've got a cube 60, does that count?
I love the JCclean with a little delay. So much so that I bought a JC120 also.
If not JC, I live on tweed with about half delay and one notch of chorus for church music, and no chorus for country.

The Brit Combo seems to be my favourite too and, yes, I keep the treble at 3 o' clock which is odd given Teles usually need to be toned down a bit on the treble end...I'd been using reverb halfway all the time but experimenting with the delay is proving interesting.

do the 30X's have the "black panel" model like my 60 does? anytime i need a little twang thru this amp, that's where i go...stays pretty clean until all the way up on the gain too.

With my Fender tele's, I like the tweed setting for nice country sounds.

For my G&L ASAT which runs a little hotter pick-ups, I like the blackface setting.

Cube 30

I have a Cube 30 (not 30x) used for small gigs & one demo recording project. For country & rootsy sound with Tele the blackface, brit combo, and tweed settings are all useful.

Ditto on the Brit Combo setting. I also really like the clean channel. Wish the effects had more adjustments to fine tune them, but I don't use them much anyway. I do like the delay. Cube 30x is a very good ss amp for the money IMO.

Yep I use that one a bit too. Set just right with delay, you can pull of some nice Eric Johnson "piano" chords. I pretty much use the Brit, Blackface, and Tweed sounds. I'm not a fan of the higher gain stuff on this amp. The VoxADs do those tones a little better in my opinion. But I got this 30X for 95 bucks at a local pawnshop. Made my decision easy and I'm quite pleased.

Just posted a clip of me doing some country on my Roland. Ignore the clams and recycled licks! I'm an admitted hack player!

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=725800

Clip was recorded on the Brit Combo model.....Bass>Almost Off at 7 o'clock Mid>12 o'clock, Treble>3 o'clock Gain>11 o'clock and Vol>12o'clock.

I just picked one up, great jazz tones possible on this thing also, both for tele and my Elitist '63 Dot. I just didn't have to pay $$$$$$ for one of the boutique "Jazz" 10 inch SS jobs.
