Peavey Windsor Studio

Hey friends, I just wanted to post that I gave Peavey a call about release dates for the new Peavey Windsor Studio combo. Sounds like it has been pushed back to Sept. If I hear anything to the contrary, I will post again. Peace.

Yep...have been waiting forever for ours to arrive.

Another case of "vaporware" from Peavey.

On paper, this looks like a great amp for the price. But the delays make me a little wary. My anticipation is turning into circumspection. (Thank you , online thesaurus). Delays can often mean there is some "design by "commitee" issues or parts supply issues. These usually end up in a compromised final product.

Like the big Windsor, I'm sure the parts and components are RadioShack cheap quality. Even the knobs on the Windsor head were cheap.

Still - a MV, single octal, with an attenuator, and boost (likely cascaded stages) is crazy enough for players like us on TDPRI... then you consider its got Reverb, an Effects Loop, and a Balanced XLR Out with Mic simulation.

I bet its being pushed back due to parts sourcing or maybe not enough release production numbers built, given how I suspect an amp like this will sell like hotcakes.

Ditto on what Johnny said.

It's like the Rolls Royce version of the Epi Valve Junior.

Most guitarists I know want one, even though most of them don't need it.
