Fender Cyber Deluxe settings?

My son has recently bought a Fender Cyber Deluxe single speaker 65 watt amp.
We've had a quick look at it, if I had more time I could find some settings, but as I'm basically a lazy sod, and don't fancy the steep learning curve, has anyone got some usable settings for real-life playing?
Thanks in advance,
RB

Try this

settins 16-32 are various amp models. 16-18 are tweed types 19-22 are blackface types (i'm doing this off the top of my head at work so I may be a little off) 23-26 are british(marshall-vox) type settings and 27-31 are fender solid state settings. Use these as a basis for setting your sound. Add/adjust the effects, gain, trim and volume to taste, thinking of them more as pedals than amplifier controls. If you have the 4 button switch set the contorls beginning with 33-41 may say program button 1 to setting 37 then you can move left or right from there. Make 37 your basic sound and put variations i.e. more gain 32-36 less gain 38 to 41 etc.

I found that I used channells 18,19, 23(?) and 26 the most. I assigned them working backwards from 61(?). What I mean by that is that 00-31 are not changeable. When you turn the amp off they go away. So my favorites got set on the 6x side of the dial so that I could get them right away when I turn on the amp.

The other method for getting where you need to be is to go into the manual mode by hitting the manual button. This allows you to select all parameters from the dials. This takes longer but allows more control. I found the noise gate to be annoying and never used it. I don't use it on my RP250 either.

18, 19, 20 are particularly good for hollowbodies and clean sounds. 22, 23, 26, should give you plenty of high gain sounds. You don't have to use the deep editing abilities except for maybe getting the best out of your delays which are extremly good on this amp and one of the best overlooked features it has.

I play mainly in church and because of space considerations (we are growing fast) I have switched to the RP250 until we can get "amp room" again.

Hope this helps a little. Most of us cyber deluxe guys are wary about posting here because of the tube preferences of our cohorts but I really do love this amp.

Peter

In that spirit, I will say that I have found these modeling amps work best with the following setting.....off to one side out of reach of the wall power.
(8^)
Seriously, if it works for you, utilize it. Get to know it. They are not for the lazy....you need to interact with those bits and bytes in order to achieve some good sounds for yourself. Lazy sods do best with Champs with only a volume and an on/off switch. I use tubes because I play so badly that I need all of the sonic help I can get.

Champ settings

are number 16 I believe on the Cyber-Deluxe. A good way to get an approximation of what the sound will be. Use both each will have its own reward!

A link to some patches and a CD user's site.

Had mine a few years and more than satisfied. Find a few good presets and tweak to taste for starters. Enjoy...
