Nano head and Bogner cube

Relatively new here and really learning a lot. Like many folks, I am getting into smaller amps. Last year I bought a Victoria champ clone (in a larger cabinet with a 12-inch Jensen) to play at home in lieu of my Super Reverb. That is a great amp, but it's still too loud to turn up. After doing some research, I have ordered a ZVex nano head.

My question is this: Would a Bogner cube extension cabinet be a good match for the nano for bedroom level playing, both clean and distortion? I'd be interested in the opinion of anyone who has played the nano and/or a Bogner cabinet.

Thanks,

Bill

I think it'd all depend on cabinet efficiency (which can vary wildly depending on what type of speakers you use) and what you consider "bedroom level" playing. See if you can borrow a cabinet with the same type of speaker in it and try it!

I have a Nano, and I regularly run it through my 2X12 or my 1X12 cabinet (both with Celestion speakers). It is a hoot; though sometimes I get "can you turn that down?" from one of my daughters, even with the nano

I really have not seen any cabinets the Nano does not match with. I have, for kicks, run it through 1X10, 1X12, 2X12 and 4X12 cabinets. I am not familiar with the bogner you mention, but I don't think you will have a problem.

That Bogner Cube is an amazing cabinet. I am sure it would sound great.

Thanks for the info. I plan on trying the nano through the 12-inch speaker in my victoria, then maybe trying it through a closed or ported cabinet locally. But I think my final choice will be the Bogner.

Be sure to let us know how you go with the nano head. Its my favourite piece of gear ever.Im running it thru a celestion super 8 speaker thats in a Dr Z miniZ.It gets more use than the miniZ, & you'd need a 2x4 to wipe the smile from my face...its that good.
